Getting Started

GIDRM launched regional initiatives to tackle global challenges across countries and policy areas. These two initiatives are the Coherence Practice Group in the Asia Pacific Region and the CCC Approach in Latin America and the Carribean.

As a project funded by a budgetary item called "international cooperation with regions" – introduced in late 2011 by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development – the following criteria are targeted:

• building networks with stakeholders from politics, academia, civil society and the private sector
• joint financing and partners' own contributions for the purpose of upscaling and ownership

Through the establishment of a Coherence Practice Group in Asia and through the development of a Guidebook for Public Investments with relevant examples from Latin America and the Caribbean (CCC Approach), the topic of coherence is to be further strengthened within the regions.
